Second Arrest Made in March Robbery at Southington CVS

A Georgia man has joined a Wolcott man in the case.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Two men have now been charged for a March armed robbery at the Main Street CVS, policer said.

On July 14, George Meldrum, 30 of Coventington, GA, was transported from the New Haven
correctional facility to Bristol Superior Court, police said. He was then arrested and processed for second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and
conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, police said.

He remains in custody, police said.

Jeremy Wills, 30, of Wolcott, was arrested on May 19 for his involvement in this incident. He is facing both conspiracy charges, police said.

The warrants stems from an investigation of a Robbery at the CVS store located at 310 Main St. on at 5:41 a.m. on March 11, police said. According to warrants, Wills drove Meldrum to the CVS and Meldrum entered the store.

After the robbery was committed, Wills and Meldrum fled the scene in Wills’ vehicle, according to warrants.

During the course of the robbery, Meldrum told a clerk to open up the cash drawer and give him all the money and the store employee thought Meldrum was holding or was at least implying that he had a weapon in his pocket, according to warrants.

It was reported that that $199.64 was taken from the register, police said.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.
