Several Of Southington FD's Bravest Complete Training Milestones
From officers to volunteer firefighters, many Southington Fire Department members have finished additional training programs.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Several of Southington's bravest also became much smarter in their endless quest to save property and life.
The Southington Fire Department announced this week that several of its members have completed additional training to ensure their quest is maintained and abilities enhanced.
The following training milestones were recently announced by the SFD:

• Plantsville Engine Co. 2 members Logan McInnis and Ryan Bleau passed their National Registry EMT exams after attending the New Britain EMS Academy's Emergency Medical Technical program.
• SFD Lts. Daniel Comen, Lucas Martin, Chris Fusco and Ryan Pulver all completed the "CT Career Fire Chiefs ILead Program."

This is an officer development and leadership program built by fire service leaders for new officers to continue their education and training.
• SFD Co. 1 firefighter Nathaniel Fortin recently completed his Firefighter 1 program and achieved his interior firefighting status.
• Plantsville Engine Company # 2 Inc. firefighters Daniel Strout and McInnis on completed the training for apparatus driver/operator.
Meanwhile, the SFD continues to look for volunteers to join the ranks and serve their community.
