In doing do, soup lovers will also help raise money for "Bread For Life," a local nonprofit that operates a food pantry and meal kitchen for those in need.
Key to "Bread For Life's" mission, however, is not just providing food for those who are hungry, but doing so with dignity.
"The mission of Bread For Life is to provide food, fellowship and a sense of dignity to those in need. We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that relies on the generosity of our community to help us fulfill our mission that no one goes hungry in our town," reads an online description of the organization.
"Our vision is accomplished by providing meals served daily in our kitchen, delivered within our senior community and also to our home-bound citizens, and to children in the summer."
The organization has operated a kitchen and collection center at 31 Vermont Ave. since 2017.
It was founded in 1984 serving three churches, operating three days a week and serving 16 clients, according to the organization's online history.
According to the most latest figures, the organization serves 120 meals a day to clients.
In addition, the group provides meals to homebound seniors and children in need locally as well as referral services to help clients get back on their feet.
