Southington Cops Issue Traffic Advisory for Daffodil Fest
Police outlined detour details for the Daffodil Festival over the weekend

SOUTHINGTON, CT —Local police have issued a traffic advisory for this weekend's Daffodil Festival.
On Saturday, between 10:30 a.m. and approximately. 1:15 p.m., Meriden–Waterbury Turnpike (Route 322) in Southington will be closed to eastbound traffic at the Interstate-691 eastbound on and off ramps to the Meriden town line, police said.
From the point of the detour, all traffic will be directed onto I-691 eastbound, police said.

Several of the local roads between I-691 eastbound and the Meriden town line will also be closed to vehicular traffic during that time, police said.
Motorists are being asked to "plan accordingly" and make a"lternate arrangements" in an effort to avoid the area during the festival.

Motorists can use East Johnson Avenue in Southington onto Johnson Avenue in Meriden) to avoid the
Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike road closure, police said.
