Southingon Officer Completes Intensive Course

A Southingon officer has completed and intensive command course.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here is a news item from the Southington Police Department:

On May 9, 2019 Lieutenant Keith Egan of the Southington Police Department graduated from the Administrative Officers Class (AOC) No. 141. The Administrative Officers Class is an intensive twelve week command level training course that was hosted by the Southern Police Institute, located at the University of Louisville.
This course is designed to develop informed, effective, ethically and technically competent law enforcement managers who are capable of assuming leadership positions in their
agencies. Lieutenant Egan has been with the Southington Police Department for eighteen years.
During his career he has served as a patrol officer, a field training officer, a detective, a sergeant, and a master sergeant. He was promoted to lieutenant in July 2017 and is presently the lieutenant in charge of the Southington Police Department’s Patrol Division and he also serves as Southington’s Commander of the Central Region Emergency Response Team.
