Southington Launches April Coat Drive For Fall Distribution
Southington Community Services seeks coat donations in April for fall distribution to residents in need.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington Community Services will run a townwide winter coat drive throughout April 2026 as part of its“Operation Stay Warm” program, in partnership with the Southington school system, local churches, banks, and other public and private organizations.
The initiative follows last winter’s distribution of 853 coats and accessories to residents in need.
Organizers are seeking donations of new or gently used winter coats for both adults and children.

Items must be clean and in good condition, without rips, tears, stains, or excessive wear, and must have working zippers.
Donations collected between April 1 and April 30 will be sorted and distributed in fall 2026 through a “Pop-Up Shop” and at senior facilities.
