Southington Veterans Day Ceremony Is Friday

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Town buildings will be closed Friday for the Veterans Day holiday, but the local American Legion chapter is hosting a special ceremony that day to honor veterans.

The American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 will conduct its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.

Post 72 is located across from the Southington green at 64 Main St.

The event will feature a color guard and veterans speakers, as the community will gather to honor all veterans, past and present, live and deceased.

Meanwhile, the Southington Town Hall & John Weichsel Municipal Center will be closed on Friday in observance of Veterans Day.

All town offices will reopen on Monday, Nov. 14.
