Southington Announces Cooling Center Protocols

The Town of Southington has opened up some municipal facilities to allow folks to beat the heat during the first heat wave of the season.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The summer's first heat wave has prompted town leaders to implement hot weather protocols and open up cooling centers.

According to town officials Wednesday afternoon, Southington hot-weather protocols are from 2 p.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. on Friday, July 7.

Southington Calendar House, 388 Pleasant St.: Wednesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Southington Public Library, 255 Main St.: Wednesday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
