Southington Boy Gets Stolen Trump Hat Back — Plus a New One

The hat turned up at a festival lost and found bin plus the boy received a new hat.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington boy who had his "Make America Great Again" hat snatched at October's Apple Harvest Festival not only has that hat back, but a new one.

Southington police on Monday said the hat showed up in the festival's lost and found bin.

Billy Perry, 14, said at the time he thought it was the message on the hat the thieves did not like. Maybe it was the Donald Trump connection too, those close to the incident surmised.

“I definitely got a lot of dirty looks,” Perry told several media outlets.

Fox61 reported that, over the weekend, man named gave Perry a brand new hat with President Trump’s autograph on it.
