Southington Catholic School Pays Tribute To Veterans

Veterans and first responders received their due at a special ceremony at the school earlier in the month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT— Local veterans recently received their just due earlier this month, courtesy of Southington Catholic School.

On Nov. 10 , Southington Catholic School honored the women and men in their community who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans were recognized at a special ceremony and prayer service in the school’s gymnasium.

Knights of Columbus representatives Craig Jones, Bill Shatas, Tom Saccoman and Nelson Berube, served as a color guard on behalf of Isabella Council 15.

The school was honored to welcome Southington Town Council Chairman Victoria Triano, as well as first responders.

Participating responders included officers Evan Olson and Jude Medena from the Southington Police Department and firefighters Christopher Fusco and Rick Molleur from the Southington Fire Department.
