Southington Considers Tobacco Ban in Parks
Some residents want a full ban while others want a compromise.

The Town of Southington is mulling a ban on tobacco product use within town parks.
Several residents spoke at a Board of Park Commissioners meeting Wednesday night, according to the Record-Journal. Some residents were in favor of a total ban while others wanted a compromise.
Kelly Leppard, town youth prevention coordinator, spoke in favor of the ban and said it will help limit access to tobacco products for children.
