Southington Continues to Roll in Girls Volleyball State Tournament Play

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Seeking its second state championship, but first since 2009, the Southington High School girls volleyball team took another big step by defeating Shelton 3-1 Thursday.

Game scores were 27-25, 16-25, 25-18 and 25-21.

The Blue Knights, seeded seventh in Class LL, advance to the quarterfinals, and will travel to No. 2 Amity Regional Saturday at 6 p.m.
