SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police are looking for a man who was wielding an axe in a busy area of town over the weekend.

Police have released an image of him taken at the scene.

The incident took place at 1:06 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot near 75 Center St. police said.

Witnesses told police a man was chasing people in the parking lot with an axe, while threatening them, according to an incident report.
