Southington Cops Make Arrest in Case of Car Burglary at Local Hotel

A variety of items were stolen from a vehicle.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police have made an arrest in an October car burglary at a local hotel.

On Feb. 24, David Sanchez, 43 of who police said was last known to be living in Waterbury, appeared in Bristol Superior Court after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Sanchez has been incarcerated at the New Haven Correctional Center, police said.

Sanchez was charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, police said.

Sanchez was held on a $5,000 bond, police said.

On Oct. 6, Southington officers investigated a burglary from a vehicle that was parked overnight at the Comfort Inn, 64 Knotter Drive.

The passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed out and several construction tools were taken from within the vehicle, police said. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $400 and estimates for the stolen tools were about $2,650, police said.

Fingerprints and palm prints were taken from the scene and they were linked back to Sanchez, police said.
