Southington Cops Snag 13 for Seat Belt Violations in One Day

The enforcement efforts were part of a national program.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police nabbed 13 drivers for seat belt violations during an enforcement effort last week.

The seat belt patrols were part of the federal- and state-administered Click it or Ticket campaign.

Police reported statistics for the first day of the week-long enforcement action and the 13 were from the first day — Nov. 21.

The 13 were from Southington, Bristol and New Britain, according to police records.

Police also issued a ticket for a cell phone violation.
