Southington Coronavirus Updates: Case Numbers, Cops' Advisory

State officials on Monday confirmed a new set of coronavirus statistics.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — There are currently 19 confirmed coronavirus cases in Southington, according to a chart distributed Monday afternoon by the state Department of Public Health.

Southington police also shared the following precautionary advisory:

As we continue to work through the COVID-19 pandemic together we would like to remind members of our community to use social distancing.
Social distancing is a way for people who are not ill to limit or avoid contact with viruses that cause illnesses such as a pandemic flu, which is easily spread from one person to another. Social distancing can help keep you and your family healthy and reduce the impact of a pandemic on the community.
Social distancing should be used at all times including but not limited to in stores, while waiting to pick up take-out food, while at work, and in other social interactions.
We know these are trying times for everyone and as we have progressed through them we have understandably seen an uptick in the use of our recreational properties such as parks, the dog park, and the Rails to Trails. We are asking the public to remember to use social distancing when they are engaged in recreational activities.
The Southington Police Department would like to once again thank the members of our community for their patience as we work thought this together.

Here is the current look at the breakdown of cases by county showing laboratory confirmed cases, and deaths:
