Boys And Girls Sought For Southington Cub Scout Pack 19

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local Cub Scout group is looking for new members and it will be showcasing what it has to offer at a local park this weekend.

Southington Cub Scout Pack 19 is hosting a special recruitment event Sunday, Sept. 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Recreation Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville.

There, the scouts will be set up near the pavilion next to the park's swimming pool, according to an announcement posted via social media by the Town of Southington.

The program is open to both boys and girls in grades kindergarten through fifth-grade.

"Scouting is centered around exciting activities, much in the outdoors, with boys and girs having fun with their friends while learning skills and values that will prepare them for life," reads the announcement.
