Southington Developer to Purchase Former Naugatuck School Building for New Development: Report

NAUGATUCK, CT - Matt Florian, a Southington-based developer, has agreed to spend $300,000 to purchase the former Prospect Street Elementary School in Naugatuck and plans to invest $1 million in upgrades into the facility, the Republican-American reports.

Plans for the building, which has no longer been an operational school for five years, include a fitness center, commercial space and 10-15 apartments on the second floor, reports Paul Singley of the Rep-Am.

The building has 41,000-square-feet and is located at 100 Prospect Street.
