Southington Earns Top Seed In Class LL Softball

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Softball has long held a winning tradition at Southington High School, with the program capturing 17 Class LL state titles. Not since 2015, however, when members of the current senior class were just freshmen, have the Lady Knights hoisted the championship trophy, but they seek to put an end to that streak this year.

Southington is the top seed in the Class LL tournament, receiving a first-round bye, and will host the New Britain/New Milford winner Wednesday in the second round.

Other top seeds are Masuk (L), Northwestern Regional (M) and Stafford (S).
