SOUTHINGTON, CT — Seven town council candidates topped the 5,000-vote mark in a tight 2019 municipal election in Southington.

A question greeted voters atop the ballot on a $2.93 million plan to acquire property at the John Weischsel Muncipal Center and the issuance of bonds to help pay for a portion of it. Voters greeting it with a resounding endorsement.
