Southington FD Collecting Canned Goods For Food Bank

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The season of giving is well underway in Southington, with the local fire department already actively practicing what the holidays preach.

Throughout November and December, the Southington Fire Department is conducting a non-perishable canned food drive to benefit the Southington Food Pantry.

Food collected will be redistributed to those in need locally.

Firefighters are collecting the food at four of their sites in town:

• Southington Fire Department headquarters, 310 Main St.

• SFD's Station 2, 128 W. Main ST.

• SFD's Station 3, 35 Clark St.

• SFD's Station 5, 72 River St.
