Southington FD Promotes 8, Hires 2
In addition, Southington Fire Department announces a new fire inspector.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Fire Department this past week celebrated multiple promotions and new hires within its ranks.
On June 13, the department hosted a swearing-in ceremony for the promotions of eight firefighters and the hiring of two more.
"We are proud to share the many accomplishments of many our members (and new hires)," reads a SFD Facebook Post. "We wish everyone the best of luck in their career advancements and new careers."

Those promoted were: Deputy Chief Scott Lee; Battalion Chief Richard Jones; Capt. Christian Mastrianni; Capt. Andrew Rennie; Lt. Andrew Phillips; Lt. Daniel Comen; Lt. Lucas Martin; and Lt. Christopher Fusco.
Newly hired to the department are firefighters Christopher Roth and Christopher Dubois.

Meanwhile, Friday the department announced the Thursday night appointment of a new fire inspector.
The department announced via Facebook the appointment of Lt. Rick Molleur to the new role.
"He will be joining our fire marshal’s office staff upon completion of intensive training in both fire investigation and code enforcement," the SFD wrote in a Facebook post Friday.
Molleur will be replacing Inspector Robert Hunt, who will be retiring after 23 years, the department wrote.
