Southington FD Temporarily Closing Two Fire Stations

One closure is so a new generator can be installed and the other is for the ongoing Plantsville neighborhood renovation project.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Two local fire stations in town will be temporarily closed for different reasons this week.

According to the Southington Fire Department, Station 5 on River Street will close for about a month starting Wednesday, March 13.

This is so the department can install a new generator at the building.
