Get Your Christmas Trees From Southington FD

The annual fundraiser starts the day after Thanksgiving, delivery is free to local residents.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The area is officially in full Christmas mode and the local fire department's annual Christmas Tree fundraiser officially starts Friday, Nov. 25.

The Southington Fire Department's Plantsville Engine Co. 2 is hosting its annual Christmas Tree sale.

According to the engine co., there will be 600 trees for sale at $60 a pop at the 128 W. Main St. firehouse in the Plantsville section of Southington.

The sale starts at 11 a.m. Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, which is a traditional time for folks to put the tree up.

Afterwards, the department's sale will take place Thursday and Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until supplies run out.

To make things easier for Southington residents, event volunteers will even deliver trees to those who need help and the deliver fee is free.

"Please note that we are doing everything possible to keep our prices down but we had to increase them this year to cover higher-than-expected costs of delivery," wrote the fire department. "As always free delivery in town."
