Southington Firefighters Knock Down House Fire Wednesday

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Berlin Street on Wednesday, where an exterior fire spread into a home, according to the Southington Fire Department.

The department said crews were dispatched to the incident and found an exterior fire with some extension into the residence.

"Crews have the bulk of the fire knocked down," the department said in a social media update.

Fire officials have not released information about injuries, the cause of the fire, or the extent of the damage.

The Southington Fire Department is expected to provide additional information as the investigation continues.
