Southington Food Pantry Desperately Needs Vegetables

Southington Community Services this week posted images of empty food pantry shelves, saying it needs canned vegetable donations.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The local food bank's shelves are empty and Southington Community Services officials say they desperately could use some donations to replenish their stock.

The department posted images of empty shelves in the Southington Food Pantry, along with a request for help.

"We are currently in need of donations of canned veggies to fill up our empty shelves in the food pantry," wrote Southington Community Services.

Southington Community Services is located at 91 Norton St., Plantsville, and it is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"Thank you in advance to everyone who is able to help restock our veggie shelves," wrote the town.
