Southington Girl Makes Impact on SCSU Gymnastics Team
Katelyn Muller of Plantsville was recently introduced as the team's newest member.
NEW HAVEN, CT — On Tuesday afternoon, the Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics team introduced Katelyn Muller of Southington's Plantsville section as the team's newest member.
Katelyn, 8, joined the Owls through Team Impact.
The team staged a news conference at Moore Field House to unveil its newest member. The event featured the entire gymnastics team and coaching staff, athletic director Jay Moran, as well as additional members of the campus community,

During the event, Katelyn was presented with her own authentic SCSU gymnastics shirts and signed her letter of intent. Katelyn and her family then posed for pictures with her new teammates.
Massachusetts-based Team IMPACT is a national nonprofit that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses to local college athlete teams.
