Southington Grocery Store's Lotto Ticket Leads To Max Payout

A Southington resident Thursday won a scratch-off ticket's highest possible prize.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man's trip Thursday to a local supermarket proved quite fruitful, even if it's not known if he bought fruit.

That's because the Connecticut Lottery Corp. is reporting that the man won $20,000 playing a scratch-off game purchased at the Southington Price Chopper supermarket, 410 Queen St.

According to the lottery corporation, the winning game was the 20X Cash 8th Edition.
