Update: Southington High School Student Hit by Car Driven by Another Student

The accident occurred Friday afternoon.

Update: The 16-year-old student was struck by a car being driven by another student, the Record-Journal reports. Identities aren’t being released due to the ages of those involved.

A Southington High School student was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Friday afternoon.

The accident occured just before 3 p.m. near 500 Pleasant Street, according to NBC Connecticut.

The student recieved laceration injuries and don’t appear to be serious, Superintendent Timothy Connellan told NBC.

The road is closed while the investigation continues.
