Kid Going To Kindergarten In Southington? This Forum Will Help

The Southington School System later this month will host a special information forum for parents of children slated to attend kindergarten.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Parents of children planning to attend kindergarten next school year need to mark their calendars for Monday, Jan. 30.

That's because the Southington Public School system will host a kindergarten registration information session on Monday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (sign-ins begin at 5:30 p.m.) for all parents/guardians who have children entering kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year.

It will take place at DePaolo Middle School, 385 Pleasant St., Southington.

School officials said this session will provide parents/guardians with some general information about the registration process and the day-in-the-life of a kindergartener.

"The opportunity to discuss details that are specific to each school will be provided at a later time," wrote the school system in an announcement.

Following a brief presentation by the school administration and teaching staff, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to ask questions.
