SOUTHINGTON, CT — One local member of the Class of 2022 will be heading to college in Beantown in a few weeks knowing she has recently received a prestigious honor.

Southington High School graduate Keira Mulligan was recently awarded the John Smyth Memorial Scholarship at the Knights of St. Patrick’s in New Haven.

She is the daughter of Mary and Neil Mulligan and will be attending Suffolk University in Boston.
Founded in New Haven in 1878, the Knights of St. Patrick is a cultural, educational, nonsecular organization promoting and preserving the Irish heritage.
