Southington HS Walking/Running Track Closed For Summer
Work to replace the track surrounding the turf field there is expected to be done by September.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A popular walking/running spot in town was temporarily shuttered Monday for a much-needed refurb.
Southington School System Director of Operations Peter Romano issued a notice to the community regarding the closing of the track that surrounds Southington High School's turf field.
The track's closure started Monday, June 24, and the work is expected to continue no later than Sept. 15.

As a result, the track and turf field there is not available for use by residents, sports programs or the general public, he said.
