Borrow And Give At Southington Library

The Southington Library is reminding the public it is a permanent location for donations to aid the town's community services department.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Public Library is reminding folks that while it is still a haven for borrowing, it's also a headquarters for giving.

To prove that, the library at 255 Main St., Southington, is always a permanent collection site for various items that are distributed to local residents in need courtesy of Southington Community Services.

Bins for various items are set up at the Main Street entrance to the library.

Items specifically sought are non-perishable food, clothing and baby needs, according to the library.

Southington Community Services is staffed by four dedicated employees committed to helping Southington residents and providing information to those in need with private providers as well as other state, federal and local government agencies that can provide help in times of crisis.
