Southington Library Wants Folks To Crack Open A Book This Summer
The local library's 2024 Summer Reading Program offers prizes for three separate age groups, from children to adults.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you still haven't cracked open a book this summer, the Southington Public Library has some incentives for you to do so.
The library, located at 255 S. Main St., Southington, has three separate summer reading programs this year for multiple age groups — all under the theme of "Adventure Begins At Your Library."
Those programs tie the concept of summer reading with a plethora of available prizes that reward those who delve into literature the most for each age group.

The library also has a handy dandy list of summer reading requirements for the local schools, allowing parents and their children an easy and quick means to see what is being asked.
Some of the prizes being offered for the program's voracious readers come from several event sponsors, including The Barnes Museum; Rosie's Royal Chocolates; Target; Lake Compounce; and Roger's Orchards, among others.
