Southington elections officials are looking for people to work as poll workers for upcoming elections and primaries.

SOUTHINGTON, CT – Southington elections officials are looking for people to work as poll workers for upcoming elections and primaries.
No prior experience is required.
The categories of poll workers are:

- Moderator — The moderator supervises a polling place and the workers assigned to that polling place. The position requires a certification and training. The moderator is paid for attending the training and certification.
- Assistant Registrar – Assists the Moderator in the setup and monitoring of the polling place. Also supervises poll workers.
- Checker – A checker interacts with the voter to verify name and address and marks the person as having voted. The checker completes reports relative to the number of people who have voted at the conclusion of the voting session. Assists in Polling place setup.
- Ballot Clerk – Provides the checked in voter with a ballot and keep track of blank and spoiled (those done in error and another is reissued) ballots. Assists in Polling place setup.
- Machine Tender – Monitors the voting scanner/ballot box to insure ballot is accepted by scanner and enters the sealed ballot box. Assists in Polling place setup.
