Southington Looking For Professional Firefighters For SFD

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Fire Department is always looking for volunteers to help out its ranks, but its now, also, seeking career firefighters to work for it.

The department this week said it is accepting formal applications for professional firefighters.

Like many towns, Southington's fire services are a mix of professional and volunteer firefighters and the positions sought are entry-level, according to the SFD.

To apply, potential Southington firefighters must provide a cover letter, resume, and documentation proving the completion of multiple certifications and designations.
