Southington Looking to Remedy 'Brownfield Issues' at Old Beaton and Corbin Plant

And request for proposals has been issued.

SOUTHINGTON, CT —Town officials are looking to partner up with a state company to remedy "brownfield issues" related to the former Beaton and Corbin Manufacturing property at 318 North Main Street.

Town officials sent out a request for proposal on Friday.

"The Town has identified a strategy to return the Property to tax paying status," town officials said in the notice.

Requests for Proposals can be obtained by contacting the office of the Town Manager at the Southington Town Hall, 75 Main Street, Southington, Connecticut 06489 (860) 276-6200, or by visiting our website, www.southington.org, click on Town Manager's page, then Bid Invitations.

Submissions are due n the office of the Town Manager, 75 Main Street, Southington, Connecticut 06489 by 10:00 o'clock, a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14. .
