Southington Man, 61, Arrested after Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

The altercation occurred Saturday evening on Garden Gate Road.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A 61-year-old Southington man was arrested Saturday evening following an alleged domestic violence incident where the victim suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Edward Laramee was charged with violation of a protective order, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after the 6 p.m. altercation on Garden Gate Road. The victim, who was not identified, was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

Police said Laramee went to the victim's home - in violation of a protective order - got into an argument, and pushed the victim into a wall and struck and them in the face.

Laramee left the scene and the victim contacted the police who arrested Laramee a short while later.

He was held in lieu of a $10,000 and was scheduled to appear in court today, March 28.
