Southington Man Accused of Grabbing More Than a Bargain at Wal-Mart on Black Friday
He is facing a sexual assault charge for allegedly groping another Wal-Mart Shopper, police said.

SOYTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man has been charged with sexual assault for grabbing more than a bargain at the local Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
On Friday at 7:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart, 235 Queen St., after a customer complained she was inappropriately touched by another customer, according toa police report.
Based on the ensuing investigation Kenneth Johnson, 55, of Southington, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

Johnson was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and given a court appearance date of Dec. 5, police said.
A woman told police she was shopping in the men’s section of the store when she felt someone, later determined to be Johnson, bump into her, according to a police report.

The woman told police she ignored the bump because it seemed accidental, according to a police report. A short time later, Johnson allegedly grabbed her buttocks and squeezed them, according to a police report.
The Victim pushed Johnson away from her and they walked towards the front of the store, according to a police report. Johnson then climbed into a vehicle and left the scene prior to police arriving, according to a report.
Johnson’s vehicle was stopped on Queen Street by a responding officer, at which time Johnson was identified by the woman as the person who grabbed her rear end, police said.
Johnson was taken into custody without incident, police said.
