
SOUTHINGTON, CT - A local man has been charged with sexual assault for an incident with a minor, Southington police said.
The details of the May 13 arrest of Garry Allard Jr. were made public Thursday. The incidents took place on April 24 and Feb. 2 of this year and last Aug. 1, police said.
Allard was charged with two counts of risk of Injury to a child, two counts of second-degree breach of peace and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, police said.

According to the arrest warrant for Allard, he is accused of inappropriate contact with the victim.
The rest of the warrant is sealed, cut police did say the victim was younger than 16.

Allard appeared in court on May 16 and is due back on June 15, according to judicial system records. He has posted a $2,500 bond, records indicate.
