Southington Man Charged In 6 Cases Since New Year's Eve
A man with a history of arrests in Southington is facing several charges this month, records show.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man who has been accused of violating protective orders in the past has been arrested again in a similar incident via three warrants, Southington, police records show.
Jan. 21, 32-year-old David Badgley was taken into custody after what police said was a domestic incident.
He was charged on one warrant with three counts of violating a protective order, third-degree assault, third-degree robbery, interfering with police and fifth-degree larceny, records show. The case was assigned a $50,000 bond, records show.

On another warrant, he was charged with violating a protective order, records show. A $5,000 bond was assigned to the case.
On a third warrant, he was charged with second-degree breach of peace, two counts of second-degree threatening and two counts of violating a protective order. The case was assigned a $5,000 bond.

Counting the three warrants from Dec. 21, Badgley has been charged six times since New Year's Eve, records show. On Dec. 31, he was charged with disorderly conduct. On Jan. 8, he was charged with violating conditions of release. On Jan. 13, he was charged with violating a protective order.
Police said they did not release more details on the arrests in an effort to protect the victims.
In 2019, Badgley was charged with violating a protective order, third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, police records show.
Police were contacted after a witness saw Badgley enter a building he was banned from visiting because of an active protective order, according to a report. He is accused of taking keys to a vehicle that was in a garage and driving it away, a report indicates.
