Southington Man Charged After Loud Scene With Cops: Report

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man was booked on a $10,000 bond after a loud scene at a local residence on Wednesday, police said.

The call started as a welfare check, but, when they arrived at the scene, police found 60-year-old Michael Cassidy being "verbally belligerent toward other people that were in the home," according to a report. He continued to be loud and confrontational while police were on scene, according tpa report.

He was was charged with disorderly conduct and was to appear in court Thursday, police said. Police did not release the address, citing the domestic violence nature of the case.
