Southington Man Charged In Serious Threat Case

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A scuffle inside a car wound up leading to charges against a Southington man, police said.

Police issued a report on the case Monday.

David Badgely, 29, became involved in a dispute while in a vehicle. He was one of two passengers, police said.

During the incident, he injured the arm of a passenger by pulling it back, according to a report. He then began hreatening to kill both the passenger and driver, police said.

Badgely was dropped off at his home by the victims, but continued to threaten to kill them via text messaging, police said.

A warrant served April 11 charged him with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, police said.
