Southington Man Charged in Threatening Incident
The threats caused havoc in a local home, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A local man accused of sending a series of threatening massages that caused panic inside a local home, police said.
On Tuesday at 2:44 a.m., Police responded to 220 Andrews St. for a reported domestic disturbance.
Daniel Brown, 20 of that address, was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

Brown was held overnight in lieu of a $10,000 bond and was transported to court for an eventual appearance, police said.
Police were called by someone in the house believing that Brown was attempting to get into the house and
that he was armed with a gun.

Brown is accused to sending text messages to a woman in the house threatening to kill her, police said. The woman also reported that she received "third party information" that Brown was on his way home and he had purchased gasoline to burn down the house, according to a police report.
Officers located Brown parked in a vehicle a short distance from his home and he was taken into custody without incident, police said. A search of the vehicle revealed no gun and no gasoline containers, police said.
