Southington Man Facing Attempted Sexual Assault Charge

He was arrested on Monday, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT —A 21-year-old from Southingon has been arrested for attempted rape, police said.

At 6:42 a.m. on Monday, Brandon Boudreau, 21 of Southington, surrendered at the Southington Police Department after learning of a warrant for his arrest, state police said.

Boudreau was processed and charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault, police said.

Boudreau was held on a court-set $250,000 bond pending a court appearance later in the day, police said.

According to the warrant, the incident took place on Feb, 25 at a residence in Southington.

The victim and Boudreau were acquaintances at the time of the incident, police said.

The warrant was sealed by the court and no other information is being released.
