Southington Man Killed in Route 9 Motorcycle Crash

A Southington man was killed in a weekend motorcycle accident, state police said.

NEW BRITAIN, CT — A Southington man was killed in a weekend motorcycle crash, state police said.

The crash took place at 3:11 p.m. on Saturday. According to a state police report, Brian Kleinhen, 47, of Southington, was traveling south in the left lane on the connecting ramp from Route 72 onto Route 9 on a 1988 Honda VT800C motorcycle.

The bike slammed into a guardrail on a curve and Kleinhen was thrown from it, according to a report. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report.
