Southington Man Posts High Bond in Sex Assault Case

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man accused of first-degree sexual assault has posted a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 18, judicial system records indicate.

Joseph Rizzo, 42, of Beecher Street, Southington, was arrested on Sept. 30, according to police records.

He is facing a second-degree unlawful restraint charge in addition to the first-degree sexual assault charge, according to law enforcement and court records.

His initital court appearance was Oct. 3, court records indicate.
