Southington Man Wins $239,000 Playing Poker

UNCASVILLE, CT — A Southington man pocketed more than a quarter of a million dollars playing poker at the Mohegan Sun casino on Monday.

According to the Mohegan Sun, Southington resident Alvin Ennis hit the Royal Flush Jackpot for $239,023 on Monday at the Mohegan Sun, located in the Uncasville section of Montville.

The casino said Ennis was playing at a Mississippi Stud table when he hit the Royal Flush Jackpot.

The game was located in "Casino of the Earth," which is home to more than 2,000 slot machines, over 150 table games and the Hall of the Lost Tribes, a fully enclosed room with over 600 slots and a Poker Room.
