Southington Mourns Loss Of Two Veteran Educators
The retired educators died earlier this month and were honored at the school board's last meeting.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — School officials earlier this month mourned the recent passing of two longtime retired educators in Southington schools.
The Southington Board of Education at its last meeting recognized the recent deaths of a well-known science teacher at Southington High as well as a veteran physical education educator.

• Salvatore Triano,who died Dec. 6 at 86. He was a social studies teacher at Southington High School for 35 years until his retirement in 1993.
• Joseph Szabo, who died Dec. 8 at 74. He taught physical education in the Southington School System for 32 years until his retirement in June 2003.
