Southington Museum Offers Free Admission To School Employees
The art/history museum in Southington will provide free admission to all school employees and a guest in July.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local history and art museum is offering free admission in July to all educators and a guest, giving them a chance to learn something to pass on to their students in the fall.
The Barnes Museum supports the Connecticut PK-12 Digital Backpack Program, which provides teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, bus drivers, principals, superintendents, adult educators, and all school employees with free admission to Connecticut museums over the summer.

As part of this program, Barnes, located at 85 N. Main St., is offering school employees and a guest with free admission in the month of July.
"Whether you’re part of the public or private school system, your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. Thank you for shaping the minds of the future and for all that you do," wrote the museum.

The Barnes Museum is open Wednesday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. for drop-in tours on the hour or by private appointment.
